Why trust us
What every window gets from our installers
No showroom photos presented as our installs and no reviews on this site yet; the proof will be windows dressed here, shown as owners agree.
-
Measure every window in person
Inside and outside mount, squareness and depth, so the product fits the window and not the average.
-
Build to the measurement
Shutters made for the opening; blinds and shades cut to the measure, not to the nearest stock size.
-
Price per window
Every window its own line with the product and the options, so a change is a line.
-
Sell shutters where a shade is right
A bathroom or a kitchen sink window often wants a shade; the honest company says so.
-
Install on a crooked frame without saying so
Out-of-square windows are shimmed and the light gap is explained before the install.
-
Skip the child-safety standard
Cordless or inaccessible cords by default; the standard exists because children have died.

Plantation Shutters: Louvers, Frames and Materials
Deciding on plantation shutters is the easy part. Then come the louver width, the frame, the mount, the material for each room and where the rails go, and each is made once.

Window Coverings That Hold Heat in Winter
Most window treatment advice in Nashville is about summer sun. The first cold nights of the fall ask a different question: which covering keeps the heat in the room.

Window Treatments for a Sliding Glass Door
Whatever covers a sliding door has to get out of the way every time someone goes to the patio. The options that do that gracefully are fewer than the catalog suggests.

Afternoon sun in Middle Tennessee and what it does to blinds
West and south-facing rooms in Middle Tennessee take real heat from May to September, and window treatment is usually cheaper than trying to solve it with air conditioning.
A lot of Nashville new build has tall, narrow windows and two-story stairwell glazing — both of which are where motorization stops being a luxury and becomes the only practical option.
Historic housing in East Nashville and 12South frequently has openings that are nowhere near square, which is exactly why measuring on site matters more here than the price per unit.

FAQ
Shutter, blind and shade questions
How much does window treatments cost in Nashville?
Window treatments in Nashville are priced per window by the product — plantation shutters at the top, then shades, then blinds — and by the size and the options; the measure visit sets the number, and the quote lists every window.
How fast can you get someone out?
A measure in Nashville is usually within the week; custom shutters take several weeks to build, blinds and shades a couple, and the installation is a day.
What areas do you cover?
Window treatment installers serving Nashville also cover Franklin, Brentwood, Murfreesboro, Hendersonville — 65 towns across 12 counties.
Are you licensed and insured?
Every installer on our crews carries liability insurance on file with us and fits the products we sell to the manufacturer’s specification so the warranty holds.
Do you charge for an estimate?
No — free, written, and no obligation.
What if something goes wrong afterwards?
Send the form; the workmanship is backed in writing.
What is the difference between shutters, blinds and shades?
Shutters are rigid louvered panels mounted to the window frame — the most expensive, the most durable, and the only one that adds to the house rather than to the furnishings. Blinds have adjustable horizontal or vertical slats. Shades are fabric that raises and lowers without slats. Shutters and blinds control light direction; shades control how much.
Why are there light gaps down the sides of my blinds?
Because they are inside-mounted and a blind is always slightly narrower than the opening so it can operate. Some gap is inherent. What makes it worse is a stock-size blind in a non-standard opening, or an out-of-square window, which is common in older Middle Tennessee houses. Outside mounting, or made-to-measure blinds, closes the gap.
Are plantation shutters worth the cost?
In rooms you use daily and intend to keep, generally yes — they last decades, do not yellow or bend, and are treated as part of the house rather than a soft furnishing. They cost several times what blinds cost. In a child’s room, a rental, or a house you plan to sell soon, quality blinds give most of the function for far less.
Are corded blinds safe with small children?
No, and this is one area where the industry has changed. Pull cords and inner cords are a strangulation hazard, and cordless, motorized and continuous-loop-with-tensioner options now exist across most product lines. If you have corded blinds and small children, retrofitting cord cleats is a stopgap; replacing with cordless is the real answer.
How long do window treatments take to order and fit?
Made-to-measure blinds typically two to four weeks from measurement; plantation shutters six to ten because they are built to the opening. Installation is usually a single visit of a few hours for a whole house. Measuring is the step worth leaving to the supplier — a mismeasured made-to-order shutter is not returnable.
