About Nashville's Shutters and Blinds
Nashville's Shutters and Blinds is a shutters and blinds company serving Nashville and 64 more towns across 12 counties of Middle Tennessee — and we stake our name on how the work goes.
Blinds and shutters are sold from a sample book and installed by whoever the store sends, and the gaps and the crooked louvers show every day for years. Our installers measure in person, build or order to the window, and install square with the light gaps planned.
What we do
- Measure every window in person. Inside and outside mount, squareness and depth, so the product fits the window and not the average.
- Build to the measurement. Shutters made for the opening; blinds and shades cut to the measure, not to the nearest stock size.
- Price per window. Every window its own line with the product and the options, so a change is a line.
What we will not do
- Sell shutters where a shade is right. A bathroom or a kitchen sink window often wants a shade; the honest company says so.
- Install on a crooked frame without saying so. Out-of-square windows are shimmed and the light gap is explained before the install.
- Skip the child-safety standard. Cordless or inaccessible cords by default; the standard exists because children have died.
What we actually work on
Custom shutters, blinds and motorized shades — everything we handle, and what each covers.
The window treatments problems Middle Tennessee homeowners bring us most often:
- Light gaps down the sides of blinds
- Slats bent or yellowed
- Cords a hazard with small children
- West-facing rooms too hot by afternoon
- Odd-shaped or arched windows
- Renters wanting no permanent fixings
Who does the work
Every installer on our crews carries liability insurance on file with us and fits the products we sell to the manufacturer’s specification so the warranty holds.
Beyond the paperwork, the test is how somebody handles the part of a window treatments job that does not go to plan — the honest call when the estimate has to change, and whether you hear about it before the work or after. The window treatment companies who stay with us are the ones who have passed that test on jobs we know about.
Why we do not publish reviews yet
No showroom photos presented as our installs and no reviews on this site yet; the proof will be windows dressed here, shown as owners agree.
Where we work
Window treatment installers serving Nashville also cover Franklin, Brentwood, Murfreesboro, Hendersonville — 65 towns across 12 counties. Each of the main cities has its own page — what its houses mean for window treatments, who issues the permits, which neighborhoods are inside the run.
If you want to understand the work before you speak to anyone, our window treatments guide covers what drives the price, what your options are and what a badly done job looks like — written so you can judge any window treatment company in the region, including us.
Who we are
Owned and run by Michael Blair, Nashville's Shutters and Blinds has one person accountable for what is written here: him. The pages follow manufacturers’ documentation, Tennessee code and window covering installers’ own practice, and are revised as those change; each post is signed and dated by him. Our installers are insured, licensed wherever a job needs it, and kept to the commitments above, and Nashville's Shutters and Blinds stands behind the work on every window.
Most window treatment installs need no contractor’s license in Tennessee; where one applies, verify.tn.gov confirms it. Ask any installer to show a certificate of insurance ahead of drilling a single bracket, and see each city page for that town’s permit office.
