This is the privacy policy of Nashville's Shutters and Blinds for nashvillesshuttersandblinds.com. It covers the website only. We do not sell, rent or trade anything you give us, and nobody outside the business uses it to market to you.

The estimate form

The form asks for your name, phone number, email address, town, street address and what you need, and on the contact page a description of the job. When you send it, the site saves what you entered in its own database on Cloudflare, together with the page you sent it from, the site or ad that brought you there if there was one, your browser and device, and the town, region and country Cloudflare estimates for your connection. Then it emails the same details to the owner's inbox through Google's Gmail service, so the reply can come straight back to you. That is ordinary email, so leave anything sensitive out of the message.

Submissions that look automated are set aside in the same database rather than emailed, so a real request caught by mistake can still be found.

Before the form sends, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is filling it in rather than a program. It runs small tests in your browser and does not read what you type; Cloudflare handles that under its Turnstile privacy policy.

Our own record of visits

Each time a page loads, the site makes a note of it on Cloudflare's servers before anything runs in your browser: which page it was, the website, search or ad that sent you if there was one, whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer and which browser, and the town, region, country and internet provider Cloudflare estimates for your connection. It also notes how many seconds a page stays on screen. It does not store your IP address or anything with your name on it.

Visits from outside the United States are turned away, and the country Cloudflare reports for your connection is what decides it.

Cookies

The site's own code sets no cookies. Google Analytics sets two: _ga, a random number that tells your browser apart from others when you come back, and _ga_JZE90Z7S2M, which keeps track of the visit you are on.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics gives us a second count of visits beside our own. It runs in your browser, with the IP address shortened, and tells Google which pages you look at, how you got here, your device and browser, and roughly where you are. Google explains what it does with that in its privacy policy and in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Google’s opt-out add-on turns it off in your browser.

Who else is involved

Cloudflare hosts the site and its database, and like any host it sees your IP address when it sends you a page. Google carries the email a form sends and runs the analytics. The typefaces and pictures are served from this site itself.
